University of Wisconsin, Madison (Master's Students only)
The exchange program with the University of Wisconsin – Madison allows master’s students to spend a semester or academic year studying at one of the best universities in America in the field of economics.
Courses taken at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, can be counted towards your degree program at the LMU, so that the duration of your studies remains unaffected by your time abroad.
Program Costs and Financing
Students taking part in the Madison program are responsible for providing their own funds for living and travel expenses, as well as for tuition fees. The tuition fees for exchange students at UW Madison are approximately 10,000 – 15,000 USD per semester.
Should you be selected for the Madison program, we would gladly help you with the application for a LMU Prosa-Scholarship (German). However, please note that Prosa provides only a small stipend, which is not sufficient to cover the program costs.
Applicants for the Madison program should exhibit outstanding performance during their studies.
A TOEFL Test (min. score: 92 internet based) is also required as proof of English language skills. Detailed information regarding the application for exchange programs through the LMU Department of Economics can be found under "Application".
